Hi guys, I have AW 7 lessons that are run on a platform as .exe files. I need to make them SCORM 1.2 compliant. Are there any examples were I can see how this is set up and done. I need to pass to the LMS the location so the student can go back to where they last left off, score, if lesson is complete.
Our current lessons were set up to pass all of this information on a previous student station using CMI variables. Need help fast. Thanks for any help.

I was using Authorware web player on Mac (Leopard) with a PPC browser (Sunrise in this case). Authorware doesn't function with browser in universal binaries, i must use a browser with only PPC code. So I use XSlimmer to put away Intel code from Sunrise. Everything was fine.
That not the same with Snow Leopard. This system function only with Intel Mac, but we can use PPC software in we install Rosetta. I have done this and so Sunrise can be launched but when i try to open a Authorware animation, it says that no Authorware is found !!!
Any idea to continue using Authorware web player in Snow Leopard ?

We successfully copy database files to C:\ProgramData using CopyFile(filename1, filename2, 0).
Our problem is that the file permissions are then lost. We’ve got the original database security set to Everyone – Full Control but when the file is copied, security reverts to the permissions of the destination directory. Database control is then passed by Vista & Windows 7 to Virual Store (depending upon the UAC settings). Sometimes this is successfull other times not, Windows 7 64 bit machines frequently get tied in knots updating ProgamData with some information and Virtual Store with other changes.

Has anyone else noticed all the links for the Authorware Web Players on the Adobe site go to pages that say "Temporarily Unavailable"?

Hi all,
I want my authorware program to communicate with another program (programmed in python). This communication should be two-ways, the program should be able to receive information from the other program, and also be able to send information to that other program. Now, I have a solution that works that makes use of .txt files, but I have been told that sockets are the way to go for communication between two programmes. The question is: can Authorware make use of sockets to send information to and receive information from? I have found a socket server (XML socket server eClever for authorware http://multiuser.web-cd.net/en/default.aspx) that could be interesting. Does anyone has experience using sockets to let Authorware communicate with other programs? And could the XML socket server be the way to go? Any hints/tips are very much appreciated!

Hi, has anybody had any experience installing the Authorware Web Player for use with Windows 7 & Windows 8? I'm looking at upgrading computers from Windowx XP on a standalone network (no internet access), and need to be able to display our Authorware content accessed via an LMS.
I would Like to ask You about my problem (I designed program by Autherware program) the size before 530 mb but I did not finished Programming now the program it's not able to add any icon and the letter is"Autherware : Selected operation failed too many records. You must cancel the operation." What can I doing now? thanks.

I've been using authorware 7 for my subject and Im receiving some errors specially when importing some images or wzhen resizing images
please reply ASAP on what are the probable cause of the error,,,
an internal error alert box appears and its says message 300 then closes my authorware application

Hi all! I hava some a4r fomat file,when i use AW7 to open them, it always shows that the file format is too old and can't open it. Then i seach the internet, it says that only AW4 Runtime can open it.Then i try my best to download the AW4 on the Adobe Official website and other internet,but can't find it.Can you send me the AW4(Windows) install program to my email(hl9badboy@gmail.com) or give me some suggestion to solve the problem.Thanks very much!
